We&#8217;ve seen hints to this before.<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/movie\/scrapbook\/large\/1192\" TARGET=NEW><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img-www.theonering.net\/images\/scrapbook\/1192.jpg\" ALIGN=LEFT HEIGHT=43 class=\"no-lazyload\"><\/a> Take a look at this image from our scrapbook. It shows some future LOTR action figures, if you take a look at Gimli you can see his action figure is poised to chop the ring in half on a small table.<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/movie\/preview\/fotr_trailer04.html\" TARGET=NEW><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img-www.theonering.net\/movie\/preview\/images\/trailer02_49a.jpg\" ALIGN=LEFT class=\"no-lazyload\"><\/a> The exact same table that you can see on this picture. So it seems that Gimli will attempt to destory the ring at the counsil of Elrond.
