The Lord of the Rings is all the buzz these days. . . and since Tolkien is not around to comment on this renewed interested in his work we’ve asked the Ballantine\/Del Rey authors to send us their thoughts for a special Tolkien issue of the DRIN (Del Rey Internet Newsletter). <\/p>\n

Most of the responses we received were positive, but we got a few surprises too. One author told us he can’t “stomach the stuff.” (Read on to find out who.) <\/p>\n

And Arthur C. Clarke says that Tolkien personally showed him the man who may have inspired it all.<\/p>\n
