{"id":26639,"date":"2002-04-19T18:10:08","date_gmt":"2002-04-19T23:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2002\/04\/19\/exclusive-fotr-collectors-dvd-gift-box-set-images-2\/"},"modified":"2002-04-19T18:10:08","modified_gmt":"2002-04-19T23:10:08","slug":"exclusive-fotr-collectors-dvd-gift-box-set-images-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2002\/04\/19\/26639-exclusive-fotr-collectors-dvd-gift-box-set-images-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Exclusive: FOTR Collector&#8217;s DVD Gift Box Set Images"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">Super Ringer Spy <b>Trueogre<\/b> has managed to score some images of the packaging for the various Special Edition Fellowship of the Ring DVD sets that will be released on November 12th.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/movie\/scrapbook\/large\/3878\" target=\"new\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img-www.theonering.net\/images\/scrapbook\/3878.jpg\" height=\"150\" width=\"114\" class=\"no-lazyload\"><\/center><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This image shows the &#8216;A&#8217; packaging for the 4-disc Special Edition, which is identical to the packaging and artwork of the two-disc set released on August 6, except that the art has a blue hue instead of a rusty yellow hue.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/movie\/scrapbook\/large\/3877\" target=\"new\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img-www.theonering.net\/images\/scrapbook\/3877.jpg\" height=\"150\" width=\"105\" class=\"no-lazyload\"><\/center><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next packaging, the &#8216;b&#8217; packaging is a &#8216;Limited Edition&#8217; case which appears to be like a leather book on the outside, and has the words &#8216;Extended DVD Version&#8217; on the front. A similar style was adopted for Limited Edition version of the Fellowship of the Ring Soundtrack.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/movie\/scrapbook\/large\/3876\" target=\"new\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img-www.theonering.net\/images\/scrapbook\/3876.jpg\" height=\"150\" width=\"126\" class=\"no-lazyload\"><\/center><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next packaging, the &#8216;c&#8217; packaging is the Collector&#8217;s DVD Gift Set box, designed by Alan Lee, from an angle that highlights the construction of the box. The gift box includes the &#8216;b&#8217; packaged 4-DVD set from above, two bookend statuettes by sculptor Sideshow Weta, the National Geographic &#8220;Beyond The Movie&#8221; DVD, and several collectible Decipher game cards. There is a rumour that a minidisc featuring a ten minute preview of The Two Towers, but that is strictly rumour.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/movie\/scrapbook\/large\/3874\" target=\"new\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img-www.theonering.net\/images\/scrapbook\/3874.jpg\" height=\"150\" width=\"272\" class=\"no-lazyload\"><\/center><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A closer look at the Bookend Statuettes that come with the Collector&#8217;s Gift Box, based on the Argonath from Fellowship of the Ring and sculpted by Sideshow Weta.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/movie\/scrapbook\/large\/3875\" target=\"new\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img-www.theonering.net\/images\/scrapbook\/3875.jpg\" height=\"150\" width=\"122\" class=\"no-lazyload\"><\/center><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally, we see another shot of the Collector&#8217;s DVD Gift Set from the front, clearly showing the spine of the leather-bound Limited Edition case for the four Fellowship of the Ring DVDs.
