The Legacy of _The Lord of the Rings_ has been essentially completed for broadcast. Canada’s premiere arts channel, Bravo!, has offered to broadcast the documentary. The date hasn’t been finalized, but the possibilities are either just before or after the release of New Line Cinema’s “The Two Towers”.<\/p>\n
Among the most interesting features are interview footage of J.R.R. Tolkien, the artwork of Ted Nasmith, and many interviews with Tolkien experts and writers, such as Tom Shippey, Verlyn Flieger, Peter Beagle, and Philippa Boyens (writer of the New Line Cinema films).<\/p>\n
