G’day from New Zealand, Weta supporters! <\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Well it’s been another busy month here at Weta HQ, with lots of exciting developments! <\/font><\/p>\n

The Bungie team recently had a test drive of the Warthog <\/strong>we created for the Halo shorts, and we caught it on vid! Check out the <\/font>hilarious carpark derby<\/font><\/a>, complete with ‘commentary’!
<\/font><\/p>\n

Weta Bug recently revealed our work on two Radical Publishing projects<\/strong>, <\/font>Hercules<\/font><\/a> and <\/font>Medieval<\/font><\/a>. The design team had a great time coming up with illustrations for these very cool stories, and you can check out the inspiration <\/font>behind these here<\/font><\/a>.
<\/font><\/p>\n

The world of <\/font>Dr Grordbort’s<\/font><\/a> continues to expand. The testimonials page has had four new character<\/a><\/strong> additions and two web exclusive comics<\/a><\/strong> from the adventures of Lord Cockswain!
<\/font><\/p>\n

Dr Grordbort’s fans and artists around the globe<\/span> have been busy getting involved, too. This month on the <\/font>Weta Forums<\/font><\/a>, we held a competition asking punters to send in their craziest, wackiest and most entertaining acronym<\/a> for the F.M.O.M. Industries Wave Disrupter Gun.<\/strong> And the winners are…

Across the world, a Lord Cockswain lookalike<\/a><\/strong> was spotted in a faraway jungle, a <\/font>new art piece<\/font><\/a> from a Raygun inspired artist graced the web pages of WetaHolics and <\/font>the ManMelter<\/font><\/a> was named ‘Most Stunning Raygun<\/a>‘ in a fan poll <\/strong>dedicated to the weapon!
<\/font><\/p>\n

The web team recently revealed an exclusive preview<\/a> of the upcoming game<\/strong>, Hellgate: London on WetaHolics \u2013 which teased and tantalised fans who are looking forward to the October 31 release date. Next month, we’ll be revealing an exciting new Hellgate: London competition … more details coming soon!
<\/font><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, we have released further details of our work on the second film from The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian<\/a>, with concept illustrations<\/a><\/strong> from the design files, and more details of exactly what <\/font>armour, weapons and miniatures<\/font><\/a> we have been working on.
<\/font><\/p>\n

Weta Co-Director Richard Taylor, designers Chris Guise and Daniel Falconer and Weta Bug headed down to the book launch of \u2018Champ The Chopper’<\/a><\/strong> earlier this month. It was a great success, with <\/font>Author Rebekah Palmer<\/font><\/a> wrapped at the feedback she received from kids and families alike.
<\/font><\/p>\n

Wellingtonians can now get their Raygun fix by checking out Pop Up<\/a><\/strong>, a very cool local gallery here in the Capital. They are our first Wellington stockist of the Dr Grordbort’s range \u2013 check out their <\/font>site and online store here<\/font><\/a>.
<\/font><\/p>\n

Talking of the Capital, the city has been abuzz with excitement as the WOW Wearable Art Awards<\/a>\u2122 take place<\/strong>. Richard Taylor was on hand to present the Weta Award to the entry that best fused film and costume. Congratulations from the Weta team to David Walker from Alaska, who designed a beautiful piece with wooden shutters, <\/font>titled Prehistoric Princess<\/font><\/a>.
