{"id":23243,"date":"2000-02-27T10:53:40","date_gmt":"2000-02-27T16:53:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2000\/02\/27\/dragon-boat-race-pics-and-info-2\/"},"modified":"2000-02-27T10:53:40","modified_gmt":"2000-02-27T16:53:40","slug":"dragon-boat-race-pics-and-info-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2000\/02\/27\/23243-dragon-boat-race-pics-and-info-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Dragon Boat Race Pics and Info"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">From: <b>Kotukunui<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Attached are some vidcaps of the footage of four of the cast taking part in the Auckland Dragon Boat festival this weekend. <\/p>\n<p>Orlando &#8220;Legolas&#8221; Bloom, Elijah &#8220;Frodo&#8221; Wood, Billy &#8220;Pippin&#8221; Boyd and Dominic &#8220;Merry&#8221; Monaghan all took part in the celebrity bath tub race.<\/p>\n<p>The bath tubs turned out to be rather difficult to manoeuvre and the event degenerated into a swimming race. Elijah seemed to be the weakest swimmer as all thoughts of fellowship were abandoned, bath-tubs were boarded, pirate style and the contestants swam for the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>The actors happily posed for photo ops with fans and seemed to enjoy themselves tremendously.
