This is slow enough for the road to be reopened during the day, but closed at night to allow repair work.<\/p>\n<p>Lake Wakatipu is slowly on the way down, at 1cm per hour (10 inches per day). Queenstown is open for business&#8230; sort-of. It may be Christmas before some businesses in the town are up and running again. But at least all frustrated <a HREF=\"http:\/\/fan.theonering.net\/~sfx\">WETA<\/a> folks are now free to roam.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From: Ian The road is open!
