An old lady caught my attention when she brought in a &#8216;first edition&#8217; copy of the hobbit. That would fetch a price itself, but inside was a &#8216;postcard?&#8217; (thats what they called it) that had a introduction personally written and signed by J.R.R. Tolkien, sitting inside the front cover!
