The ‘Ultimate Movie Poll’ conducted by Empire<\/a>, the number one film magazine in Britain has been concluded after more than two months of voting. One of the most prestigous polls out there, the cast & crew of Lord of the Rings featured very well in most fields. Hugo Weaving’s The Matrix was in the top five films and also appeared in the best soundtrack and trailer fields. Brad Douriffs’s One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, Bernard Hill’s Titanic, Ian Holm’s Alien and John Rhys-Davies<\/a>‘s Raiders of the Lost Ark came in 49, 34, 23 and 11 in the top 50 respectively. Cate Blanchett was voted the 15th best actress, Peter Jackson was the 23rd best director, and Lord of the Rings itself picked up the number one spot for the Best Trailer.
