In an audio interview with The Matrix webteam, 2nd Unit Director Kimble Rendall said, &#8220;We&#8217;ve been working for 12 months on both films and we just finished&#8230; I was just standing with the [Wachowski] brothers as they were doing the last shot with Keanu&#8230; They were still trying to get it just right.
