Recipe below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player lazyload\" width=\"1170\" height=\"659\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eV9PTxZyWLo?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fancy Hobbit Cr\u00e8me Br\u00fbl\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>500\u00a0ml (2 cups)\u00a0cream\u00a0heavy cream \/ whipping cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00a0vanilla bean\u00a0or use 1 tsp vanilla extract (I used extract)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100\u00a0g (\u00bd cup)\u00a0caster sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6\u00a0egg yolks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6\u00a0tbsp\u00a0caster sugar\u00a0for sugar topping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat the oven to 150\u00b0C\/300\u00b0F.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If using, split the vanilla bean in half and add to a small saucepan with the cream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the pan over medium heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the cream starts to steam and bubble around the edges, remove from the heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whisk the egg yolks and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light in color.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a ladle of the hot cream and whisk into the egg yolk mixture, or slowly trickle it in as I do in the video.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stream in the hot cream whilst whisking continuously until everything is combined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour the custard through a fine-mesh sieve into a jug (this makes it easier to pour the custard into the ramekins).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set your ramekins in a deep baking dish and then fill each with the custard. I use 150-200ml (5-6oz) ramekins.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carefully pour boiling hot water into the baking dish until the water comes halfway up the sides of the ramekins.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To bake the custard, place the roasting dish in a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes until the edges are set but the center still has a slight jiggle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove from the oven and then allow to cool on a wire rack to room temperature.
