According to Steven Spielberg, who directed the first film with Peter Jackson producing, they would switch roles for the sequel and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2011\/10\/25\/49440-peter-jackson-confirms-he-will-make-the-next-%e2%80%98tintin%e2%80%99-film-after-%e2%80%98the-hobbit%e2%80%99\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Jackson would direct<\/a> the second film. Andy Serkis stars as Captain Haddock in the all-CGI animated film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The first trailer for The Hobbit movies debuted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2011\/11\/28\/50732-elwood-hobbit-trailer-before-tintin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">attached to the release<\/a> of The Adventures of Tintin.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in 2018, Spielberg kept the Tintin flame alive by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.premiere.fr\/Cinema\/Steven-Spielberg-Peter-Jackson-va-bientot-travailler-sur-la-suite-des-Aventures-de-Tintin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">confirming Jackson would still do<\/a> Tintin 2. The first movie under-performed in USA, in part because Tintin isn&#8217;t a household name nor part of the American youth media zeitgeist. We just didn&#8217;t grow up with it, so the movie served as an introduction to the world of Tintin.
