Tolkien to the British Council, have been uncovered by a volunteer at the National Archives in Kew. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalarchives.gov.uk\/about\/news\/tolkien-letters-shine-new-light-on-writers-life-and-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"recently published blog\">recently published blog<\/a>, we are told: &#8216;The correspondence centres on Tolkien\u2019s research collaboration with Simonne d\u2019Ardenne, a former student of his at Oxford, who shared his academic interest in historical languages.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s always exciting to uncover new items related to the Professor &#8211; and especially to see that familiar and unique handwriting. The letters will remain at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalarchives.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"National Archives\">National Archives<\/a>, added to the previously catalogued Tolkien correspondence in their collection.
