The movie’s at an 99% awareness level among the public and over 80% have it as their first choice to see among all movies in release and coming out this weekend. These are ‘Harry Potter’-level tracking numbers — basically as highly rated as a movie can be. The biggest opening ever for an approximately three hour movie was posted by ‘Pearl Harbor’ on Memorial Day weekend in 2001 — $59,078,912 at 3,214 theaters. Its tracking levels were nearly as high as ‘The Two Towers’ — which bows at around 3,600 theaters — suggesting that ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’s $47,211,490 December opening weekend record could very well be in danger. <\/p>\n
Take a chance at guessing this week’s gross and lear more.
