{"id":114420,"date":"2022-08-17T06:57:12","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T11:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/?p=114420"},"modified":"2022-08-17T06:57:14","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T11:57:14","slug":"free-league-announces-the-lord-of-the-rings-tabletop-roleplaying-game-for-5e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theonering.net\/torwp\/2022\/08\/17\/114420-free-league-announces-the-lord-of-the-rings-tabletop-roleplaying-game-for-5e\/","title":{"rendered":"Free League announces The Lord of the Rings tabletop roleplaying game for 5E"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"intro\">A new (second) edition of the famous and rather excellent The One Ring tabletop roleplaying game is coming soon to a 5E adaptation, entitled The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/freeleaguepublishing.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Free League Publishing<\/a>, who have taken over the title from Cubicle 7 <a href=\"https:\/\/us3.campaign-archive.com\/?u=2dcfb24fb7c8d0fb9c2f52040&amp;id=9fac1d9d53\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">state that<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The Lord of the Rings\u2122 Roleplaying contains everything you need to create exciting 5E adventures set in the world\u2019s most-popular fantasy setting: six original heroic cultures from the land of Eriador, six new classes, a host of terrifying adversaries, and comprehensive rules for journeys, councils, wondrous artefacts, and the subtle magic of Middle-earth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Free League launched a new edition of The One Ring earlier this year after raising over $2 million on Kickstarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/gaming\/news\/lord-of-the-rings-dungeons-dragons-5e-free-league-publishing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comicbook.com<\/a>, Christian Hoffer suggests that The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying could be to be a new edition of Adventures in Middle-earth, the previous 5E adaptation of The Lord of the Rings from Cubicle 7. If so, this is really promising news &#8212; it&#8217;s great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Free League says that their The Lord of the Rings\u2122 Roleplaying core compendium will be available for pre-order in the Northern Hemisphere Autumn, alongside a scenario module entitled Shire Adventures. Pre-ordering will give you immediate access to a full PDF of the products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The retail release is expected in the first quarter of 2023.
