Ode to Elanor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
By D.McGlinchey<\/em>\n\n\nElanor, my star flower, my beautiful golden sun.\nFrom lonely isles did your namesake travel to bring beauty and joy from afar.\nElf Child, though of Halfling kin, fair beauty of the Shire.\nYour grace and wisdom outshines them all and your laughter a Dragon would halt.\nBlessed with the grace of the Valar you glow.\n\nThough hard was the road that led to your being,I never faltered nor forsook the dreams I made.\nI traveled there and back again to make true those distant dreams.\nAnd I did.\nWith you Elanor.\nMy star flower.\nMy beautiful golden sun.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

A poem of \u201cRiddles in the Dark\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
by MA Corkery\n<\/em>\nRiddles in darkness, hobbit and ring\nWhat object is this? Have I found some new bling?\nIt\u2019s shiny, and gold and I think very old\nBut there is something more to it that can\u2019t quite be told\nWill it bring power, joy, or wealth?\nCan it save me from this dark goblin house?\nThese questions, they run in my mind as I ask,\n\u201cWhat have I got in my pocket?\u201d\nRiddles in darkness, hobbit and ring\nWhat is this creature, this non-goblin thing?\nIs it tasty, will it be a good snack?\nMy precious let\u2019s see and then swiftly attack\nNow it is riddles: teeth, daisies, and time\nWe\u2019ll answer his questions and then he\u2019ll be mine\nBut wait, where have you gone? Did I lose you somehow?\nMy precious where are you, I cry out aloud\nI look at this morsel, this non-goblin thing\nJust maybe, perhaps, he has taken my ring\nRiddles in darkness, hobbit, and ring\nI am one step closer to my dark lord and king\nThe darkness is coming, he\u2019ll find me I know\nAnd in the darkness binding he\u2019ll grow and he\u2019ll grow\nRiddles in darkness, hobbit and ring\nRemember with winter there is always a spring\nNo matter the darkness, no matter the might\nThere will always be hope and good fighting the fight<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

Keep The Faith<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
by Michael Amos<\/em>\n\nThough bird in shire and toad in hollow share their daily cries\nDark forces incessantly wallow chanting so he flies\nIt\u2019s never good to lose your sight of things that truly matter\nFor there\u2019s a fight tween wrong and right the falling swords a-clatter.\n\nThe day is new and offers all the chance to make a choice\nThe very things that fill us up and cause us to rejoice!\nSo why are we so very willing at the least resistance\nTo tattle, harp and creak our spilling complaints every instant?\n\nIt\u2019s ours to mourn the loss of power swelling loves true ranks\nWhen all our whinging melancholy has us walking planks.\nThe remedy is simple dear, and never once you doubt it\nYou\u2019re the one who moves your eyes and never should you floutt it.\n\nHere the birds and all the frogs who\u2019s siren song declares\nThe sun is coming!\u00a0 Build your life and share with us your wares\nThe evil waits for you to fake your focus on a whim\nSo, always know it\u2019s on your watch you give a chance to him.\n\nRemember love, and luck and joy and fight with all you\u2019ve got\nTo grow, and know, and pluck your vision from the twisted knot\nOf everything that blocks your way and dance aside so lightly\nYou\u2019re a living song of ever loving will so mighty\n\nThe shire is true, The sky is blue\nThe stakes are oh, so high\nLet\u2019s herald one more chance\u00a0\nTo make the best of life, it\u2019s nigh.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
