The film is confirmed to be in the same universe as Peter Jackson&#8217;s film series. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cThis will be yet another epic portrayal of J.R.R. Tolkien\u2019s world that has never been told before. We\u2019re honored to partner with much of the incredible talent behind both film trilogies, along with new creative luminaries to tell this story.
