The Wonder of the Shire<\/strong><\/h4>\n

There is a wondrous Mallorn tree
\nThat grows free in the Shire
\nIt brings the folk from miles around
\nIt’s beauty to admire.
\nA gift brought here from fair Lorien
\nBy the hero ‘Samwise the Brave’
\nWho wandered far away from home
\nHis people for to save.<\/p>\n

Given with love, by the Lady of Light,
\nA simple gift it seemed.
\nBut one that has stood the test of time
\nFar more than Sam had dreamed.
\nA wooden box containing soil
\nAnd a single, silvered seed
\nWith a blessing from the Elven Queen
\nTo help in a time of need.<\/p>\n

And so it was that little box
\nHelped revive a broken land
\nScoured and barren and doomed to wither
\nBy a desperate Wizards hand.
\nThe soil it helped the earth to bloom
\nWith every single grain
\nAnd life returned to the much loved Shire
\nTo heal and ease the pain.<\/p>\n

That precious little silvered seed
\nBrought the greatest gift of all
\nA new, deep rooted ‘Party Tree’
\nWhich stand’s now proud and tall.
\nSilver leafed through Summer days
\nTurning Gold like a Winter fire.
\nThis mighty, wondrous Mallorn tree
\nThat grows free in the Shire.<\/p>\n
