TheOneRing.net is not responsible for poems posting with spelling or grammatical errors.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>A Land Between Sea and Rivers<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>by: William D<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A land between sea and rivers<br \/>\nHills with no names were to be found<br \/>\nShe clad in gold, trees in silver<br \/>\nSinging and starlight were the sounds<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He saw her on a sunless day<br \/>\nSounds of joy dispelling despair<br \/>\nDeep enchantment took him away<br \/>\nDesire grew and filled the air<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Her flawless voice healing the world<br \/>\nShe looked for love from light that shone<br \/>\nThe whippoorwill could not be heard<br \/>\nand wind unfelt to him alone<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He was firstborn with power<br \/>\nHis heart was not found with the sea<br \/>\nHis realm would be without towers<br \/>\nAmong the wood this king would be<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Together they ruled among elves<br \/>\nA child like no other was born<br \/>\nA girdle kept peace to themselves<br \/>\nYet it would fail and she would morn<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Evil returned and men appeared<br \/>\nThe enemy marred land and water<br \/>\nGreat was his might and had no fear<br \/>\nNo more sons and no more daughters<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Trees were gone and globes sailed above<br \/>\nSeven sons swore an oath to kill<br \/>\nDoom only shaken with true love<br \/>\nThe Two Trees in the Silmarils<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Light of the Two Trees in those gems<br \/>\nFortress of Iron, Walls of Stone<br \/>\nKing of All wore the diadem<br \/>\nAn iron crown for him alone<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">From mountains of woe and friendly snare<br \/>\nHe saw her on a moonless night<br \/>\nSound of music filled the fresh air<br \/>\nThere she weaved her dance in his sight<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Her shocked at her father&#8217;s bride price<br \/>\nA Silmaril given by hand<br \/>\nAid provided from a device<br \/>\nTo the throne room was his doomed plan<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">She was firstborn with power<br \/>\nHer fate would not end over sea<br \/>\nSpells threw down high walls and towers<br \/>\nBrokenless her heirs with the trees<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Both feel to death and came to halls<br \/>\nHer song of love became great lore<br \/>\nReturn to life, but again death will call<br \/>\nLiving man would see them no more<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A land between sea and rivers<br \/>\nSon with a name isto be found<br \/>\nHer hair of gold, his of silver<br \/>\nSinging and laughter are the sounds<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">Copyright 2018. All Rights Reserve.<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">~~ * ~~<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>My Heart lies in the Shire<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>by: David McG<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">My heart lies in the Shire<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The gentle rolling hills and lush woods under clear, warm skies.<br \/>\nTell tale plumes of smoke drifting lazily upwards from secluded little Hobbit holes,<br \/>\ndotted like colourful sequined buttons in a velvet cushion of green.<br \/>\nNo sight of a Lordly monument or Kingly spire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">My heart lies in the Shire<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Gardens overflowing with an array of scents and colours.<br \/>\nLovingly tended by fussing little Hobbit&#8217;s<br \/>\nwho flit from rose to petunia like overly spoilt bees.<br \/>\nVegetables to honour the grandest of tables or humblest rabbit stew.<br \/>\nBeauty tenderly shaped from heath and brier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">My heart lies in the Shire<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Bagginses and Boffins, Tooks and Brandybucks, Grubbs,<br \/>\nChubbs, Hornblowers, Bolgers, Bracegirdles and Proudfoots.<br \/>\nGood folk, proud folk.
