TheOneRing.net is not responsible for poems posting with spelling or grammatical errors.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>A Fathers Love<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>by David McG<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I watched as you came unexpected<br \/>\nHunted and haunted in arms entwined<br \/>\nA babe you were from a ravaged land<br \/>\nDispossessed and sheltered in mine.<br \/>\nI loved you as I loved my own<br \/>\nProtected you and fretted for you and taught you to stand alone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In hope I named you to bring forth the end<br \/>\nEstel,to hide you from a shadow and whisper<br \/>\nEntrusted to carry your heritage broken<br \/>\nTo return them to you once you had grown<br \/>\nIn honour, for the House of Arnor<br \/>\nRespected you and stood fast for you and kept the wolves from the door.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I watched you as you have grown to love<br \/>\nFrom Lothlorien my most precious of treasures<br \/>\nGilraen, broken by loves shattered dreams<br \/>\nCould not foresee the fates such as yours would bring<br \/>\nI set the task. Sceptre withheld for honour gained<br \/>\nDefied the lessons of history and lore<br \/>\nFor I had foreseen your Kingdom reclaimed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Know this Elessar, Aragon,Dunedian.<br \/>\nThrough many fates I have watched your line grow<br \/>\nI have seen my Evenstar at your side<br \/>\nEndured with you the pain of loss and the joy of life<br \/>\nNow I know she will endure when all comes to an end<br \/>\nSword, ring and sceptre restored<br \/>\nThank you my King, my friend, my son.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">~~ * ~~<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Misunderstanding of Melkor<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>By: Mitch P.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">One in song, one in mind.<br \/>\nOne in spirit, one in kind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Harmonies to play a part.<br \/>\nA chorus born to ease His heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Given life without a choice<br \/>\nBorn to sing without a voice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Why am I here, and what is good?<br \/>\nPlagued by questions, misunderstood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">All around me, so content;<br \/>\nCan they not sense my heart is rent?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Discordant tones begin to rage<br \/>\ninside my soul, a mental cage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What shall we say, or rather I,<br \/>\nIf any hear my inner cry!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I wish that I could simply be,<br \/>\nbut if I show them, will they see?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A single note sounds out of place<br \/>\ndisrupting harmonizing space.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Abhorring that from whence we came,<br \/>\nRegarding it with fear, with shame.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Do they not see what lies ahead?<br \/>\nWhen sun has faded, and moon is dead?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For with the light there&#8217;s also dark<br \/>\nand darkness brings to life the spark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">How can you hate where we begin?<br \/>\nTo sing of it is such a sin?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They fear what they don&#8217;t understand<br \/>\nThey cast me down onto the land.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For being me, cast from above<br \/>\nIf only He had shown me love&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Truly light has made them blind<br \/>\nToo bright to see what lies behind!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Instead I&#8217;ll show them, they will know.<br \/>\nWhat light unhindered can bestow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">With fire born from light they love,<br \/>\nI now reign it from above<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To teach light&#8217;s evil, and dark&#8217;s grace,<br \/>\nI shall bring flames upon this place!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I will show you light is wrong<br \/>\nwithout my darkness in your song.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Unbalanced now, you&#8217;ll crave my power<br \/>\nTo extinguish and devour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But I&#8217;ll be absent, sent away.<br \/>\nLearn well my lesson of night and day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And in the end I hope you&#8217;ll sing<br \/>\nof peace that only dark can bring.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">~~ * ~~<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Alone, I Wander<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>By: Lydwina Marie<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Alone, you whisper in my heart,<br \/>\nbut crashing waves between us lie.<br \/>\nAmroth, love, the sea has conquered<br \/>\nthe love I vowed would never die.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Alone, I waited by the sea,<br \/>\ncrouched \u2018neath tree and wind-filled vale.<br \/>\nBy light of star of gleam of sun,<br \/>\nI watched in vain; there came no sail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Alone, I stood upon the shore,<br \/>\nthe wind hard-blowing o\u2019er the sea.<br \/>\nThe gulls wheeled over stormy waves<br \/>\nand brought no word from him to me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Alone, my heart cried out for him,<br \/>\nAmroth, Amroth, heed my call!<br \/>\nNo answer came; my heart grew dim \u2013<br \/>\nI turned at last to forests tall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Alone, I wandered far abroad,<br \/>\nthe autumn passed, the winds blew cold.<br \/>\nThe years passed by with untold grief;<br \/>\nthe trees grew grey, the forests old.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Nimrodel!
