From Sam to Frodo<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I imagine Sam thinking this to Frodo at Mount Doom, when Frodo claims the Ring for himself. I originally entitled this poem “Fear”.<\/em><\/h5>\n

I look at you — in your face —
\nand sadness fills my heart.
\nYou will not fight for what is true,
\nyour face speaks more than words.<\/p>\n

I know I can’t force you to do
\nwhat, above all things, I should;
\nFear has overpowered your heart,
\nand shivering, accosts your soul.<\/p>\n
