Babb<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2018Twas winter and the winds did blow<br \/>\nupon the haunted heath<br \/>\nFrom pointy peaks of mountains gray<br \/>\nthat reared like jagged teeth<br \/>\nNow the wind hath chased the sun away<br \/>\nEven the moon hath fled<br \/>\nFor moaning \u2018cross the plain so drear<br \/>\nit has left but a place of dread<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In ages past brave warriors strode<br \/>\nwhere only dragons dwelled<br \/>\nThe drakes did rage upon the plain<br \/>\nbut soon their fires were quelled<br \/>\nThough not by swords nor shiny spears<br \/>\nwere the serpents brought to bay<br \/>\n\u2018Twas the winter wind that did them in<br \/>\nas it howled in its mournful way<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Years marched by both lonely and long<br \/>\nthe winter wind never waining<br \/>\npresiding like some deathless lord<br \/>\nor tyrant king a\u2019reigning<br \/>\nFell wraiths came to try their lot<br \/>\nupon the barren reaches<br \/>\nYet even they could not withstand<br \/>\nthe winter wind that screeches<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No summer came to warm that land<br \/>\nwhere never a beast dare dwell<br \/>\nEven the wolves did flee at last<br \/>\nfrom that sound both fiendish and fell<br \/>\nSo the winter wind now howls alone<br \/>\nfor even the shadows take flight<br \/>\nas fast fleeing deer when the wolf hunts near<br \/>\non a moonless and wintry night<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">So small a thing<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>By Cassie<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Such a small thing, a ring<br \/>\nA thing that could so easily be lost<br \/>\nThen found by one who would not know its worth.<br \/>\nA bauble, to be fondled and admired<br \/>\nThen polished up and placed upon a shelf.<br \/>\nA small thing, a ring<br \/>\nA thing that may be overlooked with time.<br \/>\nForgotten, hidden in the dust<br \/>\nTo never rest around a finger worn<br \/>\nWith good intent but darkened heart.<br \/>\nA little thing, this ring<br \/>\nThat calls out to the very soul<br \/>\nOf any weak enough to bend their will<br \/>\nAnd bring it to the one who formed its shape<br \/>\nAnd damn all those who stand against its pull.<br \/>\nSo small a thing, one ring<br \/>\nTo break and bind and rule over them all<br \/>\nWhen darkness overcomes and light has failed<br \/>\nAnd man has given up his will to fight<br \/>\nIts golden glory, blinding heart and mind<br \/>\nSuch center;\">The fury rose<br \/>\nThe ghosts of plight<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Your courage strong<br \/>\nIs nought but pride<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The time has come<br style=\"text-align: center;\">Immortal you may be though you may fall<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">The Battle of Helm\u2019s Deep<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>By Strider<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Under the moonlight in the pouring rain,<br \/>\nAwaiting for the enemy stood the crownless king.<br \/>\nBehind him were thousands of elves and men,<br \/>\nBut their courage was hanging on a string.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Solemnly they watched as the mass approached,<br \/>\nThose who aimed to slay.<br \/>\nWhat could men do against such reckless hate?<br \/>\nBut to hope their luck could last till the day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The moon was covered by layers of clouds<br \/>\nAs the battle of the fortress begun.<br \/>\nMen were defending those they loved,<br \/>\nBut mercy they were given none.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Fighting across the battle field,<br \/>\nShields were splintered, blood was spilt.<br \/>\nThe wall that held against mights of gods,<br \/>\nWas blown into pieces and never rebuilt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Those who had fallen did not give in,<br \/>\nThey would not let the fortress fall.<br \/>\nBlindly they charged towards the arms of death,<br \/>\nAnswering to the enemy\u2019s endless call.<br \/>\n\u201cPull back to the keep!\u201d cried Theoden king,<br \/>\nRetreat! Retreat! Retreat!<br \/>\n\u201cThe hope of men have failed us all,<br \/>\nBut we do not admit defeat!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Together they drew their swords for one last time,<br \/>\nFor Rohan! For glory!
