IS THIS AN ‘OFFICIAL’ OSCAR OR WARNER BROTHERS PARTY?<\/strong>\nNo. This is not an official Oscar or Warner Brothers party. “The One Last\u00a0Party” came about when a group of dedicated TheOneRing.net fans decided to hold an event to celebrate three things: The amazing success of our\u00a0four\u00a0previous Oscar(R) parties (‘One Party to Rule Them All,’ ‘Two Towers: One Party,’ ‘The Return of the One Party’, ‘The One Expected Party’), and their favorite website TheOneRing.net. This event has been completely organized by the fans through a successful crowd-funding campaign and truly lives up to TheOneRing.net’s motto “Forged by and For Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
We have arranged for convenient parking at The Hollywood Bowl, Lot B. Parking will cost $12.50 per car. The entrance to Lot B is at the intersection of Odin and Highland.\u00a0The American Legion is .2 miles from the lot, about a two block walk. \nFor attendees which ticket\u00a0levels ‘Rivendell Reveller’ or\u00a0‘Expected Party Goer,’ gates will open at 5:30pm PT. For ‘Entish Entertainment’ party goers, gates will open at 8pm PT. \n<\/strong>Yes, you can bring any type of recording device you prefer!<\/p>\nSO WHAT EXACTLY DOES “BLACK TIE AND POINTY EARS OPTIONAL” MEAN?<\/strong>
\nThis is a Hollywood Oscar Party, and we would like for the fans attending to really get into the spirit by dressing up. Black Tie optional means that if you have a Tux, or an Evening Gown, wear it. We have arranged with Friar Tux Shop to save you $40 off a tux rental! (Details<\/a>) (TheOneRing.net staff will be dressed to the max!) If you do not have that, go with the next best thing. This does not mean you should dress down at all. Security will not allow you into the party if you do not meet the dress code. You are also welcome to attend in costume, with limitations. \nThe American Legion, post 43 can hold 1200 people comfortably. Our expectation is to sell approximately 800 tickets to cover the cost of this party. If demand is higher, that number may increase slightly, but not much. There will be plenty of room to move around. And just for your information, The Legion is a famous concert hall with several dance halls, gaming rooms and places to roam.<\/p>\nTHIS PLACE IS BIG, IS THERE A SPECIAL ENTRANCE?<\/strong>
\nYes, the private entrance to our party will be on Highland Ave, directly at the front gates of the American Legion. Look for ornate gates directly accessible from the sidewalk. There will also be a large One Last\u00a0Party sign marking the entrance.<\/p>\nWHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?<\/strong>
\nBesides yourself, please bring at least one of the following types of photo ID: Valid Government ID, Driver’s License, Official State ID or Passport. These will be the ONLY forms of identification that will be accepted for admission into the party. If you do not bring one of these IDs to the party, you will not be allowed to enter.<\/p>\nWILL THERE BE A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER?<\/strong>
\nYes! There will be a professional photograper set up for couples and friends to take photographs. Everyone will get one free photo and have the ability to purchase additional photos.<\/p>\nAGE REQUIREMENT?<\/strong>
\nSince we firmly believe that Tolkien fans span generations, and our fandom exemplifies a unique level of maturity, we have reduced the required age for this part to 14.\u00a0Please note however, that all attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian<\/strong>. No exceptions. As alcohol will be served, wristbands will be given to guests 21 and older. There will be no discounted or reduced price tickets available for those under 21.<\/p>\nWILL FOOD AND DRINK BE AVAILABLE? IS IT FREE?<\/strong>
\nIf you purchased a ticket that includes dinner, yes. Those attendees will also get two drink tickets. Attendees with the ‘Entish Entertainment’ ticket, for the performance only, will not have food available to them.<\/p>\n
