The rest of his childhood and Teenage years were spent in the village of Aberbargoed, South Wales, at the age of 17 when he moved to Cardiff and then in 1997 he won a scholarship to train at The London Studio Centre for 3 years.<\/p>\n<p>Since his graduation in 2000, Evans has starred in many of London&#8217;s\u00a0<a title=\"West End theatre\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/West_End_theatre\">West End<\/a> productions including\u00a0<em><a title=\"La Cava\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/La_Cava\">La Cava<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0<em><a title=\"Taboo (musical)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Taboo_(musical)\">Taboo<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0<em><a title=\"Rent (musical)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rent_(musical)\">Rent<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0<em><a title=\"Miss Saigon\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Miss_Saigon\">Miss Saigon<\/a><\/em> and<em><a title=\"Avenue Q\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Avenue_Q\">Avenue Q<\/a><\/em> as well as several fringe shows in London and at the\u00a0<a title=\"Edinburgh Festival\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edinburgh_Festival\">Edinburgh Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008 he landed a role playing Vincent in the play\u00a0<em>Small Change<\/em> written and directed by\u00a0<a title=\"Peter Gill (playwright)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Peter_Gill_(playwright)\">Peter Gill<\/a> at the\u00a0<a title=\"Donmar Warehouse\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Donmar_Warehouse\">Donmar Warehouse<\/a>, later that same year he did his second show at the Donmar Warehouse,\u00a0<em>Piaf<\/em>, in which he played Yve Montand. The following year he landed his first film role as Apollo in the\u00a0<em><a title=\"Clash of the Titans (2010 film)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Clash_of_the_Titans_(2010_film)\">Clash of the Titans<\/a><\/em> (2010) remake, he later went onto play Clive in the film\u00a0<em><a title=\"Sex &amp; Drugs &amp; Rock &amp; Roll (film)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sex_%26_Drugs_%26_Rock_%26_Roll_(film)\">Sex &amp; Drugs &amp; Rock &amp; Roll<\/a><\/em> (2010). He was then seen in\u00a0<em><a title=\"Robin Hood (2010 film)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robin_Hood_(2010_film)\">Robin Hood<\/a><\/em>(2010) playing the Sheriffs Thug. Evans went on to portray DI Craig Stokes in\u00a0<em><a title=\"Blitz (film)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blitz_(film)\">Blitz<\/a><\/em> (2011), the film adaptation of Ken Bruen&#8217;s novel of the same name in which he stars with Jason Statham and Paddy Considine. After that, Evans went on to play the role of Andy in acclaimed director Stephen Frears\u2019 newest film\u00a0<em><a title=\"Tamara Drewe (film)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tamara_Drewe_(film)\">Tamara Drewe<\/a><\/em> (2010) based on\u00a0<a title=\"Posy Simmonds\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Posy_Simmonds\">Posy Simmonds<\/a>&#8216;\u00a0<em><a title=\"Tamara Drewe\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tamara_Drewe\">Tamara Drewe<\/a><\/em>. Gemma Arterton co-stars. In early 2010 he starred in an independent movie called\u00a0<em><a title=\"Flutter (film)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flutter_(film)\">Flutter<\/a><\/em> (2011) directed by Giles Borg.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011 Evans played the Musketeer <a title=\"Aramis\" href=\"\/wiki\/Aramis\">Aramis<\/a> in <a title=\"Paul W. S. Anderson\" href=\"\/wiki\/Paul_W._S._Anderson\">Paul W. S. Anderson<\/a>&#8216;s version of <i><a title=\"The Three Musketeers (2011 film)\" href=\"\/wiki\/The_Three_Musketeers_(2011_film)\">The Three Musketeers<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(also featuring his\u00a0&#8216;Hobbit&#8217; co-star Orlando Bloom). He was cast in a lead role in <a title=\"Tarsem Singh\" href=\"\/wiki\/Tarsem_Singh\">Tarsem Singh<\/a>&#8216;s Greek epic, <i><a title=\"Immortals (2011 film)\" href=\"\/wiki\/Immortals_(2011_film)\">Immortals<\/a><\/i> (2011), in which he played the King of the Gods, Zeus. And at the end of 2010, he took a role opposite <a title=\"John Cusack\" href=\"\/wiki\/John_Cusack\">John Cusack<\/a> in <a title=\"James McTeigue\" href=\"\/wiki\/James_McTeigue\">James McTeigue<\/a>&#8216;s film <i><a title=\"The Raven (2012 film)\" href=\"\/wiki\/The_Raven_(2012_film)\">The Raven<\/a><\/i>, replacing <a title=\"Jeremy Renner\" href=\"\/wiki\/Jeremy_Renner\">Jeremy Renner<\/a>.
