A Fathers Love<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I watched as you came unexpected
\nHunted and haunted in arms entwined
\nA babe you were from a ravaged land
\nDispossessed and sheltered in mine.
\nI loved you as I loved my own
\nProtected you and fretted for you and taught you to stand alone.<\/p>\n

In hope I named you to bring forth the end
\nEstel,to hide you from a shadow and whisper
\nEntrusted to carry your heritage broken
\nTo return them to you once you had grown
\nIn honour, for the House of Arnor
\nRespected you and stood fast for you and kept the wolves from the door.<\/p>\n

I watched you as you have grown to love
\nFrom Lothlorien my most precious of treasures
\nGilraen, broken by loves shattered dreams
\nCould not foresee the fates such as yours would bring
\nI set the task. Sceptre withheld for honour gained
\nDefied the lessons of history and lore
\nFor I had foreseen your Kingdom reclaimed.<\/p>\n

Know this Elessar, Aragon,Dunedian.
\nThrough many fates I have watched your line grow
\nI have seen my Evenstar at your side
\nEndured with you the pain of loss and the joy of life
\nNow I know she will endure when all comes to an end
\nSword, ring and sceptre restored
\nThank you my King, my friend, my son.<\/p>\n

The Misunderstanding of Melkor<\/strong><\/h4>\n

One in song, one in mind.
\nOne in spirit, one in kind.<\/p>\n

Harmonies to play a part.
\nA chorus born to ease His heart.<\/p>\n

Given life without a choice
\nBorn to sing without a voice.<\/p>\n

Why am I here, and what is good?
\nPlagued by questions, misunderstood.<\/p>\n

All around me, so content;
\nCan they not sense my heart is rent?<\/p>\n

Discordant tones begin to rage
\ninside my soul, a mental cage.<\/p>\n

What shall we say, or rather I,
\nIf any hear my inner cry!<\/p>\n

I wish that I could simply be,
\nbut if I show them, will they see?<\/p>\n

A single note sounds out of place
\ndisrupting harmonizing space.<\/p>\n

Abhorring that from whence we came,
\nRegarding it with fear, with shame.<\/p>\n

Do they not see what lies ahead?
\nWhen sun has faded, and moon is dead?<\/p>\n

For with the light there’s also dark
\nand darkness brings to life the spark.<\/p>\n

How can you hate where we begin?
\nTo sing of it is such a sin?<\/p>\n

They fear what they don’t understand
\nThey cast me down onto the land.<\/p>\n

For being me, cast from above
\nIf only He had shown me love…<\/p>\n

Truly light has made them blind
\nToo bright to see what lies behind!<\/p>\n

Instead I’ll show them, they will know.
\nWhat light unhindered can bestow.<\/p>\n

With fire born from light they love,
\nI now reign it from above<\/p>\n

To teach light’s evil, and dark’s grace,
\nI shall bring flames upon this place!<\/p>\n

I will show you light is wrong
\nwithout my darkness in your song.<\/p>\n

Unbalanced now, you’ll crave my power
\nTo extinguish and devour.<\/p>\n

But I’ll be absent, sent away.
\nLearn well my lesson of night and day.<\/p>\n

And in the end I hope you’ll sing
\nof peace that only dark can bring.<\/p>\n

Alone, I Wander<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Alone, you whisper in my heart,
\nbut crashing waves between us lie.
\nAmroth, love, the sea has conquered
\nthe love I vowed would never die.<\/p>\n

Alone, I waited by the sea,
\ncrouched \u2018neath tree and wind-filled vale.
\nBy light of star of gleam of sun,
\nI watched in vain; there came no sail.<\/p>\n

Alone, I stood upon the shore,
\nthe wind hard-blowing o\u2019er the sea.
\nThe gulls wheeled over stormy waves
\nand brought no word from him to me.<\/p>\n

Alone, my heart cried out for him,
\nAmroth, Amroth, heed my call!
\nNo answer came; my heart grew dim \u2013
\nI turned at last to forests tall.<\/p>\n

Alone, I wandered far abroad,
\nthe autumn passed, the winds blew cold.
\nThe years passed by with untold grief;
\nthe trees grew grey, the forests old.<\/p>\n

Nimrodel! the cry was borne.
\nNimrodel, my Elven dove!
\nAlas, no answer ever came;
\nthe waves crashed down, they drowned our love.<\/p>\n

Alone I wander \u2018neath the trees,
\nmy Elf-King\u2019s vows a fading cry.
\nI forsook my seaborne love;
\nthe winds bear forth my broken sigh.<\/p>\n

Alone, I heed yet not the cries;
\nAlone, I wander through my tears.
\nA silver shadow speaks my name:
\nNimrodel… I flee in fear.<\/p>\n

Nimrodel, my faithful love,
\n\u2018tis I who wanders wood and dell!
\nIn terror now you run from me \u2013
\nyou hope, you fear; aye, I can tell.<\/p>\n

A final call; you turn to me,
\nwhile o\u2019er our heads the storm clouds wheel.
\nI hold you now within my arms,
\nand with a kiss, our love, we seal.<\/p>\n

Together, now, on golden shores,
\nwe lovers walk forevermore.<\/p>\n

A Hobbit\u2019s Lullaby<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Close your sleepy little eyes.
\nRest your curly head.
\nA full day had you, little lass,
\nAnd now it\u2019s time for bed.<\/p>\n

Rain falls softly on the garden
\nBathing beans and \u2018taters,
\nMushrooms, cabbage in its patch,
\nAnd strawberries for later.<\/p>\n

Clover will grow soft and thick
\nTo cushion little feet.
\nThe flowers open petals wide
\nTo spread their perfume sweet.<\/p>\n

Rest your darling head, my Rose,
\nAnd sleep well this night.
\nFor rain will pass and sun will shine.
\nThe morrow will be bright!<\/p>\n
