Kili

Skilled fighters, both brothers set off on their adventure armed with the invincible courage of youth, neither being able to imagine the fate which lies before them.

TheOneRing.net Description: Kili, along with his brother Fili, accompanied their uncle Thorin Oakenshield on the Quest of Erebor. Both Kili and Fili appear to have a greater love of music than the others: inside Smaug’s chamber, while the Dwarves are picking out gems and gold, Kili and Fili both pull golden harps from the wall. Kili was slain defending Thorin at the Battle of the Five Armies.

Analysis: The name “Kili” was derived by Tolkien from an old Norse poem titled “Völuspá”.
