September 15th is the 40th Anniversary of The Silmarillion publication in 1977.
September 21st is the 80th Anniversary of The Hobbit publication in 1937.
The very next day, September 22nd, is the shared birthday of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins!
To celebrate this very exciting phenomenon, TheOneRing.net’s Discussion Boards will be holding a week-long party from Friday, September 15 through Friday, September 22 filled with Hobbit & Sil-themed games, haiku, quizzes, fanfic, and much more! You never know… a TORn-favourite “pants thread” may appear!
