Pantaear writes from Tokyo: As was the case of TTT, three leading members of the LOTR Japanese subtitle reform activities were invited to a private preview of RotK with Japanese subtitle. They say that there were no terrible mistranslations such as in FotR, and much effort seemed to have been spent on the translation. They also discussed over some controversial subtitles and posed alternatives. They say that the people at the movie distributor, Nippon Herald, was very sincere and their opinions on translation will be considered over, as was the case of TTT.
