The Bemis Public Library in Littleton, Colorado will host a free program Saturday on all things Tolkien. The library will show the extended version of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Intermission will feature trivia, special activities and prize drawings. Costumes are encouraged. [More]
S writes: I work at a FYE and we recieved a movie calendar with coupons in it that customers get for spending $50 or more on movies. Curious by nature, I flipped through it. Not sure if there’s much truth to it, because it would be breaking the “tradition” but it says on May 25th that ROTK will be released on DVD/VHS.
Eogwyn writes: Colin Duriez, Tolkien expert and author (as featured on the Disc 3 TTT EE DVD) is giving a talk on Thursday 4th December 2003, at Leicester Writers’ Club, Leicester Adult Education College, Wellington Street, Leicester, UK, at 7-9pm. The title of the talk is “Tolkien and C.S. Lewis: their friendship and mutual influence” and will cover the story of their friendship and the enormous debt they owed to each other, without the friendship, the world would lack “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Chronicles of Narnia”.
