Lord of Mordor writes: Bad bad news for anybody living in Dublin, Ireland and hoping to catch Trilogy Tuesday. My sources inside The UGC Cinema on Parnell st in Dublin have informed me that they will now not be showing either FOTR or TTT AT ALL. The decision comes from their head office and it baffles me.
WAM! and the Starz cable network will be holding a three-day LoTR marathon weekend from December 19-21. They’ll not only be showing the FoTR EE, and the world TV premiere of TTT, they also have a special Return of the King preview including interviews with the stars. We were lucky enough to get a snippet of these interviews, featuring Miranda Otto, Sean Astin, Viggo Mortensen Elijah Wood and more! (2.4MB file Requires Windows Media Player)

The newly redesigned DarkHorizons.com has posted a story suggesting that Andy Serkis (Gollum) will continue to pioneer the world of digital performance as King Kong in Peter Jackon’s latest project. “Serkis will once again don his blue body-suit, and is understood to already be studying ape movements and mime techniques as preparation.” [More]

Bad news for those that have Dutch as a first language. The distributor for the movies there today ‘announced’ (although that is a big word for mentioning it in the passing) that most of the Extended Editions and Collector Gift Sets are delayed over there as well. What they really meant to say was: all the big stores get their stuff in time and the smaller retailers shouldn’t hold their breath for it. Read all about it on Dutch community site TheFellowship.nl!
