Mark Ordesky is moving from chief of Fine Line to a key role at parent New Line, with all production executives reporting directly to him. Ordesky assumes the title of exec VP and chief operating officer of New Line. He will continue to report to Toby Emmerich, New Line’s president-CEO. Emmerich said New Line would continue to produce 10-15 films per year while Fine Line will generate three to six titles.”

I was trying to get my kids to go to bed tonight while my husband was watching ‘Screen Savers’. My ears perked up when I heard that on tomorrow night’s show they’re going to have something about the special effects of Spiderman and Gollum revealed.
Also, FOTR has a short mention in this week’s (March 10 issue) Newsweek. On “The Tip Sheet” on page 75, FOTR is noted under “Collector’s Guide to DVD Bests” for its “Extras.” The comment says, “One ring may rule all, but takes four dazzling discs to capture the movie’s magic.”
