Thanks to ‘ree for this link to UK paper The Sun, which has done the tricky maths necessary to convert movie earnings to ‘bums on seats’ as they say – allowing for inflation, different currencies and so on, it turns out that the alltime most popular movie is Gone with the Wind. LOTR is only sitting at 26th by this count. Still beats ‘Home Alone’ for which I’m grateful. [More]
