Yes, I’m very excited. I will launch into my speech at the slightest provocation. If I am wearing my The Hobbit t-shirt, sometimes people ask me questions – I’m sure they ask you, too – especially this one: “How come it’s 3 movies instead of one – I thought it was just one book?” I love explaining…[Read more]

I got my tickets! There is one theater in Huntsville, Alabama that is showing The Hobbit in 48 fps – YAY! I went there yesterday to buy tickets because they weren’t selling them online, and then I found out why. They had not accomplished their theater conversion yet, so they couldn’t guarantee to be playing the 48 fps version of the film. …[Read more]

I just watched Video Blog #9 – it is awesome! The beginning shots are Radagast, they look so beautiful, I wish they were longer…

One of the best things (I think) about the Video Blogs is that you get to hear all the people talk about their jobs, and they enjoy telling us about it so much, it’s really fun. And I can’t help but smile at…[Read more]

Yeah, me too! Well, and it would have been totally stupid to have a different composer start all over – Howard Shore has set up all those themes that are in our memories already from LOTR. Can you imagine Hobbiton with different music? Or Rivendell? Howard Shore does a great job. Can’t wait to get my soundtrack December 11th!

Hey. I just saw that tv spot, too! It does look great on the big screen – I had to stop everything and watch it once I saw Bilbo…:-)

Empire online had the whole thing streaming for awhile, but it has been taken down now. The (rumored) End Credits song, Neil Finn’s “Song of the Lonely Mountain” is still streaming on Rolling Stone here:

        • It’s clickable once yu post it. Yeah, it’s really cool. I just saw the Hobbit TV spot #7 on TV a few minutes ago. It looks AMAZING on the big screen!!! CAN’T WAIT!!! 22 days to go!!!

            • Yes, I LOVE Bilbo… I mean… He’s really awesome. I’ve been Dwarf-obsessed for a long while, so having a Hobbit along on the journey is really cool. He seriously adds to the story. :) I love Thorin and Fili and Kili and… Bofur and Ori… and Dwalin… I really love them all, Thorin best. PLZ MOVIE! COME SOON!!!

    • The soundtrack was stellar!!! I am very happy that PJ had Howard Shore come back for the Hobbit music! :)

Thanks for saying that, Faz – sometimes I feel like the only one without an iPad or a Kindle Fire in my hand. I am NOT ready to give up real books! And I am so pleased with this one.
