So….how do you find out which theaters are actually projecting at 48fps? Is this even going to be a reality in most places?

On the message boards, many people are contacting their local theaters to find out what formats they will be showing The Hobbit in. Someone linked to a site that is supposed to list theaters using 4K. I’m not sure if we can do links here so google: Sony Digital Cinema 4K Theatre Locator

In reply to: matt posted an update Check out your new profile screens! You now have a badge for the race you are representing in middle earth! ViewClick on the Fellowship tab and you’ll see a button (one of the 3 below the header) for ”All members”. You could randomly click on some of them to see their images, or just edit your profile to see the rest

Yeah, agreed. The problem is, I’m not an icon creator. I found a beautiful set of LOTR armor icons and this one was listed for “Elessar’s Armor”. I looked closely and felt that the sword in the image is the one Strider uses before they reforge the old one. In that sense, it’s the ranger sword and that’s as close as I can come! NEW FEATURE: if you visit your profile page and click on your new ”Race” badge, you’ll get to see all the other members who have chosen that same race! Pretty cool, huh?
