I’m quite excited to share in this event! Is there someone coordinating the attendance for the group, or do we all just show up? I certainly would have more fun being with a group of us!

Basic the letter says (and I paraphrase here, as the letter is framed and
hanging in my classroom) ‘Thank you for your kind letter in regard to my
books. Unfortunately, I am fully involved in preparing a new book, ‘The
Silmarillion’ at present, and can’t respond more thoroughly to letter at

Very excited to attend the film with other like-minded rangers…haha! I actually have a letter from Prof. Tolkien that I received from him when he was working on The Silmarilion two weeks before he pasted away in the early ’70’s. One of my most treasured possessions!

Welcome Bergstrom! Thanks for sharing that! that’s amazing! I only wish I could’ve been alive at that time. I can’t imagine having a letter from Professor Tolkien, that’s incredible. Any chance you could share a bit of what he said?
