Ringer Rohan Refugee sends us this report from TV3 New Zealand.

The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fans are some of the most loyal and devoted of them all.
They have spent hundreds of millions seeing the movie and they come to New Zealand in their droves to see where their beloved films were made.

And New Zealand puts it on for them -– for example, they even have a Hobbit beer in Matamata at the Green Dragon. Well now The Hobbit fans can go one better still.

Celebrity horse trainer Steve Old is putting the Clydesdale that Gandalf rode in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and we’ll see ride in the final film, The Battle of the Five Armies, up for sale.

Old notes that the late, great Shadowfax (real name Blanco) was sold to the US for $50,000. But he suspects that Big Nick won’t fetch quite as much.
