Many Middle-earth fans will be familiar with the independent film Rise of the Fellowship, from director Ron Newcomb, who is himself a passionate Tolkien fan. Newcomb has teamed up again with producer Scott Mathias to launch a new project, which should appeal to all fantasy lovers. The proposal is for a web series about a group of Rangers guarding an ancient realm; The Lord of the Rings, George R R Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire, and Dungeons and Dragons are all cited as influences for this new tale.
