Arandiel, our lovely leader for “The Walk to Rivendell and Beyond”, has updated us with our intrepid walkers stats again this week. They’re currently on the edge of the Midgewater Marshes, fielding off hungry midges.  Come and join the fun as our Message Boarders endeavour to get to the Lonely Mountain before the premiere of the first Hobbit Movie.

Over in the Reading Room, Message boarder, isaac is asking if there’s a major plot hole in the novel “The Hobbit”.  “Why didn’t Thorin call on Dain and the other dwarves from the Iron Hills for help regaining his treasure from Smaug?” What do you think?  Should Thorin have done this or would it have spoiled the story?  Tell us what you think here.
