Aragorn was about 10 or 11 when Bilbo and the Dwarves came to Rivendell. Remember that while The Hobbit happened 60 years before the START of LOTR, Bilbo’s 111th Party, “Keep it secret, Keep it safe”, etc happened 17 YEARS before Gandalf showed up next and asked “Is it secret, Is it safe?”. PJ didn’t imply the passing of this time clearly enough. I bet it’s Aragorn…

A young boy? wasn’t he eighty-seven during the war of the ring?. that must make him about twenty-seven during the The Hobbit. Young for his long life maybe, but not a boy.

It cant be Aragorn. Aragorn tells Eowyn that he is eighty-six years old and knew Theodin when he was a boy the hobbit takes place sixty years before the events in the lord of the rings that would make him twenty-eight.

If they were to do a young adult Aragorn I would be severely disappointed as a fan; during the time of the hobbit Aragorn is a young boy.

Young John Bell is almost certtainly Bain, son of Bard. We’ve already read of a scale-double for Bain; and Aragorn is likely to be a young adult in Jackson’s film continuity, as opposed to the 10 year-old ‘Estel’.
