TORn Message Boards Weekly Roundup – October 30, 2011

October 30, 2011 at 8:44 pm by grammaboodawg  -

Welcome to our collection of TORn’s hottest topics for the past week. If you’ve fallen behind on what’s happening on the Message Boards, here’s a great way to catch the highlights. Or if you’re new to TORn and want to enjoy some great conversations, just follow the links to some of our most popular discussions. Watch this space as every weekend we will spotlight the most popular buzz on TORn’s Message Boards. Everyone is welcome, so come on in and join in the fun!

What would you bid for at a Bag End auction?  There was a lot of excitement when Beutlin and Pipe Dream shared production pictures of Hobbiton and what looks like Bilbo’s furnishings in the front yard.  See what the group at The Hobbit Discussion Board have to say about it and tell us what you think.

Posters on The Hobbit Discussion Board were also happy to hear that Quint of Ain’t It Cool News is in Matamata and has been cast as a hobbit extra!  The promise of bi-weekly reports from him during the next 2 months (and hopefully pictures) is a treat we’re all looking forward to!  Have a peek at his first report here.

Every Friday at mid-day, we enjoy sharing drinks and stories of what is going on in our Real lives at Fiesta Friday on the Off Topic Discussion Board.  This week has been particularly provocative with plans for Halloween, storms in Colorado and the nor’eastern US, and an update from our Christchurch friends on the progress of their earthquake recovery.  Come have a drink with us and share your story.

We’ll share more topics next week and hope you can join in on the conversation! Don’t forget, TheOneRing.net’s message boards have over 7,000 registered Tolkien fans, just like yourself. Let your voice be heard!
