New Zealand is the only place on this good earth where you can do these movie with any realism. New Zealand is like Tol-Morwen or Tol-Eressea… the last haven of Middle-earth left here.

Shoot the movie there and f*ck those boneheads from AU that want to screw up an otherwise excellent country and its people.

There’s no question in my mind that this film production will suffer significantly if New Zealand is abandoned. There will be inevitable delays which will drive up costs making the whole project just that much more difficult. Since finances have been a problem all along I don’t see how complicating things just so much more will help anyone, actors, production people and studios alike.
