Guillermo del Toro is on a book tour in LA promoting ‘The Strain’, he will also swing by New York for Fangoria. And while most of us would like to see him back in New Zealand working on ‘The Hobbit’, I am sure many others are excited to meet him!

A Weta Digital researcher, Iain Matthews, has joined university academics in Britain and the United States to develop a way of “cloning” facial expressions. The computer scientists have challenged assumptions about human behaviour and what influences that behaviour when people communicate by tracking the expressions of individuals during live conversations on a video conference, and mapping the facial movements to models of faces. Guillermo del Toro will be a guest on ‘The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson’ tonight on CBS. He is there to promote his new book ‘The Strain’, but lets hope they talk The Hobbit!! The Late Late Show is on CBS at 12:35AM.
