Little Fish director Rowan Woods realises his tale of a Cabramatta family and friends isn’t an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza. “It’s not an out-and-out simple commercial tale,” he smiles. “I’m not doing myself a service, am I?” He needn’t bother. With his cast including Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Sam Neill, Martin Henderson, Noni Hazlehurst and Lisa McCune, there’s already a frisson of anticipation. Deservedly so.
