As of Thursday, July 31, New Line has stopped tracking The Two Towers domestically. In other words, the movie has ended its run as far as the studio is concerned. Final Official Gross: $339,751,253. However, The Two Towers is still playing in a few theaters. It was at 30 starting on Aug. 1. But New Line is notorious for stopping tracking when movies are still playing — often hundreds of thousands of dollars will accrue after they cut them off. I’ll try to dig up some Two Towers numbers and post them later, but it won’t be with New Line’s blessing. [
