Alix writes: Ian McKellan (Gandalf) appeared on BBC 1 Breakfast News (UK) this morning for a few minutes. He talked for a bit about Lord of the Rings - nothing very exciting, and for a bit about his work as a theatre actor. He did mention that he won’t be attending this year’s Oscars as he will be performing on stage that night.
