People keep referring to this picture and saying Aragorn’s using a Bic lighter. I thought so too, but look again: if that’s a Bic, why’s he lighting that twig? Random firebug impulse? More logical to assume that it’s the bowl of his pipe he’s holding concealed in one hand. It’s just caught alight from the twig or taper in his other hand, which he used to transfer the flame from the candle in front of him.
It’s not a lighter!
