GirloftheShire writes: This week, the Toys R Us gaming magazine called “R-Zone” has a nice interview with Elijah Wood and lots of good stuff about the Two Towers EA game. It’s available in the video game section at Toys R Us stores. Also, a magazine called “Fantasy Worlds” has a really great article of LOTR:TTT with many, many pictures, cast bios and character descriptions, and a long fold-out poster of Frodo. Great stuff here!

I’m not sure if other people have seen them as well, but the one I saw basically just had bits and pieces from the trailer, finishing with “IN CINEMAS BOXING DAY”. Very cool stuff!

Cuivienor writes: In the latest Cine Live magazine, we see a picture of Merry and Pippin meeting Gandalf, but in a forest. It might be Fangorn! Or maybe the forest of Huorns after Helm’s Deep? Secondly, there’s a small sentence in French where John Rhys Davies says: “I first was interviewed to be Boromir’s father (Denethor), but this character was afterwards removed from the scenario, and there it goes that PJ wants me to be Gimli!”. Does this suggest that Denethor was originally written out of the Trilogy pre-filming?

Many of you have written in to us describing a problem you have had with your Extended Edition of FOTR, where the disc appears to stall between Boromir’s conversation with Aragorn and the Mirror of Galadriel. Well, TORn staffer Pippin Took points out that this is not in fact an issue with the DVD itself but with the DVD player;

‘It’s called a layer change, when the DVD player’s laser switches from one layer of information on the disc to the second layer. This is normal, and the only way around it is to buy one of the higher-end DVD players, which are better equipped to handle the layer changes more smoothly and with less of a pause while the laser switches over.’

Jeff sent in a little note to TORn that this ‘Two Towers TCG card from Decipher suggests that we will see Isengard being flooded, instead of having it described to us by Merry and Pippin after it occurs as described in the book.
