I got an issue of Condé Nast Traveler and to my delight I saw a headline on the front that said: “NEW ZEALAND: Middle-earth Magic.” I have scanned the pages so that you can see the gorgeous photography.

ALSO: The captions contain crucial info about where certain things were filmed. I’m not sure if you already have these, but they’re definitely VERY cool.

Misty Mountains=Milford Sound in Fiordland National Park

Mordor=parkland near Cape Palliser, North Island the Anduin=Kawarau river

“Fellowship’s approach to the Paths of the Dead”=Putangirua Pinnacles, North Island

I’m still not sure whether this is a spy report or not, because I really didn’t do any spying. This is the SEPTEMBER issue of Condé Nast Traveler for those nterested in getting their own copy.
