While extremely technical at times, there are a few nuggets of info for the average fan. Specifically, check out the great new picture of Elves decked out in full battle gear at Helm’s Deep, and the revelation that Gollum will be a mixture of motion capture and traditional key framing.

Galen wrote in to let us know that US cable channel Tech TV’s “Tech Live” broadcast the Two Towers Teaser Trailer earlier this evening. “It was the teaser but it seems that they cut it up and rearranged it in an unflattering fashion. Tech TV replays a lot of content the next day during the AM though.”
If you get Tech TV, keep an eye out for this.
Sir Ian McKellen writes about the re-shoots in NZ and what it feels like to meet up with the old gang again and re-inhabit his role as Gandalf. [More]

I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) yet..but he is high on my list of ‘must meets/talk to’. I’ve heard reports that he tries to personalize every single autograph to prevent people from selling them on ebay..(would you sell something that Viggo personally wrote for YOU?). Message board regular Nessimë was at the Wellington book signing event and asked Viggo to sign something for TORN (un asked by the way, what a sweetie!) and Viggo complied! Check these out!
