The Eagle And Child Pub

May 20, 2002 at 2:42 pm by Strider  -

Have you ever wanted to see what The Eagle and Child pub in Oxford, in which J.R.R Tolkien spent many years with his colleagues and friends including C.S Lewis, looks like? Well Ringer Spy Glaurung & his Father sent in a couple photos they took of the place while paying a visit to London.

‘The Inklings’ plaque on a wall in The Eagle and Child in Oxford which commemorates the famous group of scribes and scholars which spent so many Tuesdays in the back room of the pub.
